Wet CHemical Extinguisher

How Do Wet Chemical Extinguishers work?

Wet chemical extinguishers contain a pressurised chemical agent. This agent when sprayed has a cooling effect and create a layer of foam on the surface of the burning oil or fat, preventing oxygen from fuelling the fire any further.

This is similar to the suppression process in the Ansul R-102 and the Piranha.
