How Do Water Extinguishers work?

The water cools down on what is fuelling the fire, as the water cools the fire any burning slows down until it is cooled down sufficiently and will extinguish the flames.

Water Extinguisher Product Description

The Cannon 6 litre water fire extinguisher is is BS-EN3 Kitemark certified. The stored pressure water extinguisher is suitable for use on Class-A fires (wood, paper textiles and other Class-A risks in offices and commercial premises).

Additionally the like the rest of the range the Cannon extinguishers are colour coded which makes them easily identifiable from a distance making them even safer to use. The water extinguishers have black-bases.

Note: All of our extinguishers are also supplied with Glow-in-the-Dark sign, so they right extinguisher can always be seen/found.  The sign also highlights what types of fires it is safe to use on and the fire where it isn’t safe. They are also supplied with Fire Blanket, which is made of highly flame-resistant material it can either be used to extinguish a small fire or to wrap around a person in case of a fire.
