Job Description

Cannon Fire Protection is a rapidly growing business in the fire protection sector. We keep our services in-house using directly employed labor within our Installation and Service departments.

As a result of our growth, we are looking to recruit a Service Control Manager.

The Purpose:

To be accountable for service delivery, ensuring all maintenance, remedial jobs are scheduled, attended, and completed to customer and industry deadlines. To be accountable for the monthly invoicing ensuring monthly budgets and targets are met. To be accountable for the Cash4W system ensuring its full utilisation. Managing a small team, ensuring customer satisfaction and expectations are met in line with specific KPI’s. To effectively escalate any resourcing issues and to provide support to the service engineering and administrative team.

Responsibilities & Person Specification

Responsibilities
  • Overall accountability for delivery of service maintenance and remedials across the whole business, ensuring the most cost-effective manner is applied.
  • Support the administrative team to ensure full utilisation of C4Windows throughout the department.
  • Support the administrative team to ensure client portals are maintained and expected KPI levels exceeded.
  • Select and manage sub-contractors ensuring customer and industry requirements are satisfied.
  • Select and manage suppliers. Regularly review quality, delivery performance and price.
  • Support Engineer team training ensuring industry standards are considered.
  • Prepare & review weekly reports to show operational productivity; engineer utilisation, revenue generated, calls still to be invoiced.
  • Provide clear and direct communication to the wider team, instilling professionalism and ensuring high standards of customer service is adhered to.
  • Ensure prompt and effective communication is made with customers to take care of customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.
  • On call for out of hour needs of the business and provide Engineer technical support when require
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director on service growth, delivery, and business plans/objectives.
  • Support the Commercial Director in maintaining industry accreditation as and when required.
  • Review and approve service reports ensuring remedial opportunities are quoted, issued, closed and delivered as set out in service contract KPI’s.
  • Work closely with the Sales Estimator to ensure all remedial opportunities are maximised and turned into orders.
  • Escalate and highlight any customer complaints to the Commercial Director and see through to a satisfactory closure.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Board within reason & related to the Cannon Fire Protection Business.
Person Specification
  • Previous service experience.
  • Comprehensive fire industry knowledge.
  • Management experience.
  • Strong customer facing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Personality – energy, drive, and enthusiasm.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
