 Pat Costello- Managing Director
Patrick has bee involved in the fire detection and extinguishing sector for several decades. Originally working within the UK mining industry he had responsibility as Fire Officer for Nottinghamshire pits. In 1987 he left mining and established Cannon Fire Protection initially focusing on the portable extinguisher market. Two years later responding to customer demand he introduced the fire detection and alarms division taking the business into national coverage. In 2004 he created the opportunity to add fixed fire extinguishing services to the business thus providing a comprehensive package for the company’s UK customers.
 Tim Smith- Sales Director
Tim joined the fire security industry after leaving school in 1968. He initially worked in field engineering , project management and design for fire detection and alarm systems and about 15 years ago moved to the fire suppression sector of the industry. His role within Cannon Fire Protection is towards business development for the whole business model. Having worked closely with the fire trade throughout his career his focus has been in developing the provision of turnkey packages for companies working within the industry.
Mark Costello- Contracts Director
Mark joined the family business straight from leaving school in 1996. He initially worked in the field of portable extinguishers , running a small team of Technicians which lead to further training in hose reel and fire risk assessment. He moved into the fire suppression side of the business 4 years ago with an hands on approach to managing a range of various size contracts. Alongside key administrators Mark also takes an active role in the running of the service and maintenance area of the suppression division.
 Oliver Wooding- CAD Technician
Oliver joined the company in May 2011 after graduating from Leeds University with a degree (BSc Hons) in Architectural Technology. The skills and knowledge he gained is now applied to the fire protection industry. He is responsible for producing the electrical design drawings for fire detection and alarm system works and the hydraulic calculations for fire suppression systems and the supporting detailed drawings in AutoCAD for projects undertaken by Cannon.
 Charlotte Hurd- Senior Administrator
Charlotte joined Cannon Fire Protection in 2009 to head up the administration team supporting both contracting and service departments. Charlotte previously has worked in a busy client focused call centre handing multiple customer orders and enquiries daily. At Cannon Fire Charlotte also has the responsibility to develop the company’s customer management system ‘WINsims’. This has reduced the office to an almost ‘paperless’ environment allowing contracting and service documentation to be transferred electronically to customers’ in turn increasing efficiency and economy. In 2011 Charlotte has overseen the ‘rollout’ of engineers PDA’s which interface directly into WINsims for servicing and remedial works. Engineering response and efficiency along with fast return of service reports has resulted.
Rebecca Burghart- Accounts Administrator
Before joining Cannon Rebecca had worked for the Center Parcs Leisure Group. Whilst there she gained outstanding customer service skills and was put through a number of customer service related courses. After leaving Center Parcs Rebecca moved to a leisure products manufacturer in order to develop her business skills as part of a busy logistics team. In January 2011 Rebecca joined Cannon Fire Protection as a Customer Administrator but most recently has been promoted to Accounts Administrator whilst continuing her AAT Level 3 course at Newark on Trent College.
